34th Edition – The Sardana of the Year 2023

Three phase concert

Final concert of the 34th edition of the Sardana of the Year competition where the sardanas premiered in 2023 have participated.

In the first part, the couples Reus Jove and Sant Jordi - Ciutat de Barcelona will perform the 8 finalist sardanas who are eligible for the Popular award.

During halftime, the public can vote for their favorite sardana.

In the second part we will enjoy the triphasic concert, an explosive premiere where the sonority of the couplet is combined with that of the electric guitar and that of the timpani.

Its creators, Arnau Tordera on guitar and Xavier Pagès-Corella, on musical direction, will perform it with the Cobla Sant Jordi-Ciutat de Barcelona and Joan Torras on percussion
