La Spanish Society of Psychogeriatrics (SEPG) has chosen the Tarragona Exhibition and Congress Center to host its XXII annual meeting next February. From 11 to 13 February, about 300 health professionals will be in the city of Tarragona to update their knowledge and research in the field of psychogeriatrics.

Society is facing a great demographic challenge as the global trend is to increasingly care for an increasing number of elderly patients with greater complexity in terms of clinical, therapeutic and healthcare settings. At the same time economic resources are often reduced.

Three days of congress that represent a great opportunity to update and expand the knowledge of the mental health of the elderly. To carry out this task, the SEPG has structured a congress program made up of numerous debates, symposia, workshops and presentations by great professionals in the sector.

The contents of the program aim to cover, with depth and scientific rigor, a wide range of issues that are often challenging for clinicians and also for the healthcare system. The complexity of psychogeriatric disorders requires well-trained professionals in this field and the SEPG, through its meetings, wants to help interest the different health professionals who, increasingly, are facing the challenge of caring for people with disabilities. old age with mental health problems.
