Public evacuation drill at the Palau de Congressos

Sixty students from the Emergency module of IES Cal·lípolis have become part of the evacuation drill of the Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona. During today's day, students attended an auditorium evacuation training day.

At the end of the session, the alarm systems of the Palau de Congressos were activated, warning of the need to evacuate the public from the August Auditorium. In a short time, the staff of the room and the emergency team of the Congress Palace directed the attendees to the nearest emergency exits to the outside of the building.

This drill is the first to be held with a real audience inside the Palacio de Congresos. The updating and review of security protocols is repeated periodically, although it is not always necessary to have external assistants to carry them out.

Since 2012, the staff of the Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona have also received training in firefighting, first aid and the use of an automatic defibrillator. A training that is reviewed and updated annually.
