Traditional Chinese music arrives in Tarragona
On November 8, theChongqing National Traditional Orchestra will perform at the Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona with a Bayu-style concert. A 90-minute concert with 30 musicians performing different pieces from the ancient repertoire of the Chongqing area.
The concert is part of the Chongqing National Traditional Orchestra's European tour and will bring the Tarragona public the opportunity to enjoy Chinese music by a large orchestra.

The Chongqing National Traditional Orchestra wanted to promote the Bayu style after several visits to Chongqing City by composers Hua Wu and Xiaogang Wang. The composers merged and improved the original repertoire of traditional music in this area, highlighting the cultural charm of Chongqing and the life of the Bayu area.

A spectacular and fast-paced concert under the direction of Shimin Wan, permanent conductor of the Chongqing National Traditional Orchestra. They are accompanied on tour by Yi Wang, director of the Chonging Performance Group and famous in the art of Yangqin and Zheng instruments, among others.
