WE ENCOURAGE OCTOBER TO THE RHYTHM OF BOLERO WITH THE SABANDEÑOS
On October 21 at 21 pm, Los Sabandeños will perform at the Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona with their show Anthology of the Bolero, a tour of the most emblematic songs in the history of bolero and a review of the great successes of his musical career.
A concert that expands the musical and leisure offer in the city of Tarragona, reaching an audience that loves the bolero and the Latin American songbook. Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster, Fnac, Halcón Viajes and Carrefour.
It has been 50 years since Els Sabandeños began their activity, maintaining an uninterrupted musical work, reflected in more than 70 recordings. A valuable sound archive that includes part of the traditional legacy, as well as self-created songs and adapted versions. The Sabandeños have not only addressed the different genres that make up the varied Canarian folk repertoire but, at the same time, have dedicated themselves to disseminating the rich Latin American songbook and, more recently, the bolero. Such has been the impact of the Sabandeña trajectory, that they have become an obligatory point of reference for the traditional music, that goes beyond the canary scope, having accumulated numerous distinctions, prizes and recognitions in that time.
Outside the Canary Islands, Los Sabandeños have carried their music with great success throughout the national geography and have given concerts in Belgium, Italy, Portugal, the United States, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina or Colombia. Their records, with more than 2.000.000 copies sold, have been released in many of these countries, as well as Japan.
His latest works have featured outstanding collaborations from the likes of Alfredo Kraus, Eduardo Falú, Armando Manzanero, Silvio Rodríguez, María Dolores Pradera - with which he was nominated for a Latin Grammy with his album 'Et canto un bolero'-, Pablo milanès, Daniel Viglietti, Mario Benedetti, Francisco Rabal, Olga Guillot, Alberto Cortez, Luis Eduardo Aute, Ana Belén, Mercedes Sosa, Caco Senante, Pedro Guerra, Carlos Aguirre or Soledad Giménez.
Over the years, there have been mass tours and concerts in countless cities, both on the peninsula and in other countries and, of course, in the Canary Islands. Los Sabandeños are, without a doubt, the best national folk group with the most international projection.
