The Tarragona Exhibition and Congress Centre becomes the setting for the first major event of the year for the WNBF Spain: the Natural Classic – Steve Reeves Cup 2026, an open international natural bodybuilding championship that brings together amateur and professional athletes from around the world under the motto “Where the Elite Compete”.

The event is named after Steve Reeves, a bodybuilding legend from the 40s and a symbol of effort without doping, and turns the Palau into an international meeting point for a discipline that advocates clean sport and personal improvement.

A weekend of competition and entertainment

The event lasts for three days. On Friday, July 10, the athletes will weigh in and be briefed, and on Saturday, July 11, the Palau will host the two phases of the competition: the qualifiers in the morning and the finals in the afternoon, with a parade of athletes, awards and two exhibition moments (Show Time) between breaks.

The championship includes six categories, including the new Novice & First Timers category, designed for athletes making their debut in competition.

International exposure for athletes

At stake are 9 Pro Cards, direct qualification to the final of the 8th Spanish Championship and access to the 37th WNBF World Championship. All participants undergo strict anti-doping controls, guaranteeing the “natural” spirit that gives the event its name.

The Palau, the scene of major sporting events

Hosting the Steve Reeves Cup confirms the Palau's ability to adapt to very diverse formats, from professional congresses to major international sporting events, always with Tarragona and the Mediterranean as a setting.
