Under the title "Adaptation of water management to the new economic, social and technological environment", the Catalan Association of Friends of Water is organizing the V WATER CONGRESS IN CATALONIA, which will take place on the 21 and March 22 at the Palau de Congressos de Tarragona, according to the program that can be consulted on the website www.congresaiguacatalunya.com.
Catalonia is suffering from a serious water supply situation, due to the strong increase in temperatures and the lack of rain (with two consequences of climate change). It is clear that we are in a new environment, which we will have to face from the perspective of researching new sources of supply, implementing digitization in the management of the resource and studying formulas for economic adaptation to the new challenges.
The closing of the Congress will be chaired by the Secretary of Climate Action of the Government of the Generalitat, Mrs. Anna Barnadas
