The 20th Catalan National Congress of Emergency and Emergency Medicine will be held at El Palau next Thursday, April 21 and Friday, April 450. More than XNUMX professionals from the field of emergencies and emergencies in Catalonia will meet to discuss, among others, the need for generational relief in emergencies.

"New times, new challenges"
Under the slogan "New times, new challenges", the Congress will begin on Thursday, April 20 at 9 am and the program will include several conferences to address the various topics of interest to the participating professionals. In the afternoon, practical workshops will be held in fields such as polytraumas, ultrasound, doctor-patient communication and the detection of all types of pathology, among others. Friday, April 21 morning, the program will continue at 9 a.m. with roundtable discussions.
This Congress will highlight the possibility that this year the Ministry of Health may recognize the specialty of Emergency and that, therefore, in 2024 the Hospital Joan XXIII may have the first MIR's of Emergency.
It should be noted that during the meeting an Ordinary Assembly will be held in which Dra. Mireia Puig, current head of Sant Pau's emergency department and member of the Official College of Doctors of Barcelona, ​​will be the new president of SocMUE (Catalan Society of Emergency and Emergency Medicine).

Inaugural lecture by Genís Roca
Genís Roca, international expert in digital transformation and founder and president of Roca Salvatella will be in charge of holding the opening conference of this Congress at 13.30:20 p.m. on Thursday, April XNUMX. With an intervention that will talk about new technologies.
Maria Mas, managing director of the Chemical Business Association of Tarragona (AEQT) will participate in a round table debate during the day on Thursday morning.

The Congress will have a decontamination tent, about 15 meters long, which the SEM has in case of chemical accidents.

Closing Friday 21 April
On Friday, April 21, at 13.30:XNUMX p.m., the closing ceremony will take place with the intervention of Dr. Tato Vazquez, current president of the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine (SEMES). And the Xiquets del Serrallo will offer a pillar of closure.
