The Palau de Tarragona will host the 4th edition of the Congress of Municipal Markets of Catalonia, which will take place for the first time in the city next Monday 20 November. The day will be held at the Palau de Congressos from 9 am and is expected to be attended by around 200 people linked to these commercial facilities from all over Catalonia, such as stall holders, representatives, technicians or trade associations, among others The thematic axis of the Congress this year will revolve around the sustainability and innovation in municipal markets.

The Congress is organized by Consortium of Comerç, Craftsmanship i Fashion (CCAM) of the Generalitat de Catalunya and will have the collaboration of the company of Markets of Tarragona. The aim of the day is to debate and reflect on changes in consumer habits, new market trends and to reflect on the implementation of new uses in the markets, as well as the new challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

In terms of programming, it is planned that the Congress Center will host several talks and presentations throughout the morning. After lunch, attendees will go to the Central Market where they can visit the building, see the Carillon and get to know first-hand the day-to-day logistics of the modernist equipment.
