CONGRESS PALACE STAFF RENEWS IMMEDIATE HEALTHCARE COURSE
The staff of the Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona have completed the Immediate Health Care (ASI) course, a first aid training and the use of the Automatic External Defibrillator (DEA), which is very necessary for all those people who work with the public.
2012 was the first year that maintenance and production staff carried out this training and retrained it annually. This year, the sales and management department have joined the team.
In addition to preparing to act in the event of the need for immediate health care, the workers of the Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona review the protocols to be followed when coordinating their own and external resources.
Among the different activities performed were the procedure and practical use of the Automatic External Defibrillator, how to perform proper cardiopulmonary resuscitation CPR, how to disinfect and heal an open wound or how to immobilize a sprain, among many other actions. In this way, the staff of the Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona ensures a correct first intervention in case of medical need of its attendees and a very well-defined protocol of action in case of requesting external support.
