TARRAGONA WILL BE THE HEAD OF THE POLE SPORT CHAMPIONSHIP AGAIN IN 2017
After the success of the I National Pole Sport Championship at the Palau Ferial i de Congressos, the The Spanish Pole Sport Federation has confirmed that Tarragona will once again host the Championship in its second edition in 2017, coinciding with the year of the Mediterranean Games. Great news for both the organizers of the competition and the city of Tarragona that will once again reap this sporting event that is gaining strength and more fans.
During the I Pole Sport Championship which took place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th April, great performances and a very high level could be seen. Among the participants is the classification of 3 athletes from Tarragona for the Pole Sport World Cup which will be performed on 23 and 24 July in the city of London. Cristian Fernández, Filipi Camargo and Carolina Arlandez they will compete in the male elite and female junior elite categories respectively and will be the Spanish representatives of Pole Sport at the international level. It should be noted that today Carolina Arlandez is currently 2nd in the world ranking of Pole Sport and Cristian Fernández 5th.
This event has had an impact on both the world of sport and the city's economy, as in its first edition, more than 600 people have passed through Tarragona, including participants, the public and coaches, many of whom have stayed during on weekends in city hotels.
