The Tarragona Congress Center obtains the seal Safe Tourism Certified
Save Tourism Certified is a seal of guarantee and certification of the implementation of the Prevention System for Health against COVID19. He Institute for Spanish Tourist Quality (ICTE) has certified the obtaining of this seal in the category of Tourism MICE in the Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona, which guarantees that its facilities are safe and all the obligatory and recommended measures are fulfilled to avoid the contagion of COVID19 among its users and workers.
The president of the Municipal Company for Economic Development of Tarragona (EMDET SA), Mª José López, highlighted the satisfaction of obtaining the seal Safe Tourism Certified and thanked the staff of the Palau Firal i de Congressos for their involvement and work. A certification that, as Mª José López rightly says, adds confidence in the correct development of the activity and is a guarantee of safety for both the workers and the users of the facilities.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona has collaborated to prevent the spread of the epidemic. The fairgrounds have repeatedly become a space for blood donation campaigns. The use of material was ceded to the Red Cross during the State of Alarm and the holding of events was reduced to the bare minimum.
The Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona has wanted to open its doors by offering users a guarantee of security. For this reason, it has implemented all prevention measures against COVID19 and has been certified as a safe space with the seal Safe Tourism Certified. The mark was obtained after an audit by an independent company.
The disinfection of the spaces with UV-C ultraviolet light and the thorough and frequent cleaning, the maintenance of the minimum interpersonal safety distance with the blocking of seats and separation of chairs, the taking of temperature in the assistants, hydroalcoholic gel at the disposal of the users, masks, signaling of circuits and traffic flows, the creation of an internal safety committee, audible warnings, informative posters… and a great awareness of the workers are the main measures that the Congress Center has implemented to obtain of the seal Safe Tourism Certified.
The Palau Ferial i de Congressos has already returned to activity with all the security guarantees. This week the 3st UGT-FICA Catalonia Congress has been held and from next weekend and during the month of October it will hold 2 shows, XNUMX professional days and the Dinosaurs Tour exhibition.
